Manual Guide: Custom Tables

The Custom Tables module allows users to dynamically create, manage, and structure custom database tables directly from the application interface without manually running raw SQL migration scripts.

1. Interface & Architecture Overview

The Custom Tables page is divided into two primary sections:

  • Custom Tables Grid (Top): Displays a list of all dynamically created custom tables with quick-search filters per column, sorting options, and direct row management.
  • Table Builder & Form (Bottom): A comprehensive form to configure table names, notes, active status, and custom data schema rows (columns, types, lengths, primary keys, and constraints).

2. Managing Custom Table Columns

When creating or modifying a custom table, the system automatically provides system-locked base columns (id, created_date, last_modify_date) and allows you to add custom field attributes:

  • Supported Data Types: INT, BIGINT, VARCHAR, TEXT, TIMESTAMP, BOOLEAN, DATE, FLOAT, NUMERIC.
  • Length Restriction: Automatically enabled or disabled based on the chosen data type (e.g., types like INT or TIMESTAMP do not require length configurations).
  • Row Reordering: Use the drag handle () or the Move Up / Move Down buttons to rearrange column positioning before saving.

3. Viewing Table Data (Tables Data Menu)

Once a custom table is successfully created and saved here, you can seamlessly view, insert, update, and manage its actual contents and records directly via the Custom Tables > Data menu in the application navigation.

4. Standard Table Operations

For complete guidelines on how to use standard table utility features (such as ColVis, copying data, Export/Import, Refresh, Bulk Delete, etc.), please refer to the Standard Tables Guide.
