Overview¶
MdlWr is a modern, lightweight middleware platform designed to bridge disparate applications, enabling seamless communication, data translation, and integration between complex systems without friction.
Stop letting closed systems dictate how your data moves. MdlWr puts unconstrained scripting at the core of your integration, giving you limitless possibilities to bridge gaps, automate workflows, and bypass rigid application constraints.
Key Features¶
- Dynamic API Management: Centralize all your endpoints in a unified registry. Link APIs with dedicated logic flows to seamlessly orchestrate multi-step data transformations and complex payload routing.
- Advanced Business Time Scheduler: Move past rigid cron strings. Schedule and execute background pipelines asynchronously using Celery and Redis, backed by smart business calendar rules and operational hour constraints.
- Bulletproof Snapshot & Audit Logs: Capture full state snapshots on every change. Inspect execution history, track trace IDs, and perform instant data rollbacks or restorations when things break in production.
- Encrypted Credential Vault: Keep your sensitive keys, tokens, and database passwords secure with robust, end-to-end encryption to protect external connections across all integrated sites and endpoints.
- Custom Table Builder: Break free from fixed schemas. Empower users to spin up custom, dynamic database tables on the fly whenever unique business data structures are required without touching the core source code.
- Centralized Multi-Site Sync: Deploy centrally and distribute changes remotely. Effortlessly push API updates, logic flows, and configurations down to remote sites—ensuring seamless operations even across segregated network segments.
Architecture & Core Workflows¶
MdlWr is built on a robust, decoupled architecture utilizing asynchronous background workers to guarantee high availability and fault tolerance under heavy enterprise workloads.
1. Inbound Request & Routing Workflow¶
When an external system hits the MdlWr endpoint, the request goes through validation, API key checking, logic flow mapping, and decision making (Sync vs Async Job generation):
2. Background Workers & Queue Processing¶
MdlWr utilizes specialized background services to handle scheduled tasks, payload splitting, row execution, email notifications, and real-time streams:
scheduler: A centralized container managing multiple execution triggers, including traditional time-based cron schedules, SQL monitors, and file monitors.mdlwr-job&mdlwr-row: Distributed Celery workers responsible for splitting incoming payloads, queuing jobs, and executing row-level API actions asynchronously.
mdlwr-email: Dedicated worker for processing notification queues and dispatching automated alerts.mdlwr-stream: A standalone container built for real-time, event-driven data streaming (such as integrating with Kafka or messaging brokers), separated from standard polling loops to maintain high fault tolerance.
